After years of research and experimentation in an effort to improve my productivity, I was surprised to find that diet could have such a massive impact on my energy and mental acuity. It was only after implementing a well-formulated ketogenic diet, which basically means switching my primary fuel from carbohydrates to fat that I felt this immense difference. It gave me a strong sense of power and clarity. It felt like going from black and white to color, one of those things that once you experience, it becomes difficult to ever go back.
A ketogenic diet is a powerful tool for many things including disease treatment and fat loss but my primary focus has been using it to maximize personal productivity. Today I have over six years of ketogenic experience and logged over 300 blood ketone tests working towards that purpose and trying to make the diet as simple, convenient, and efficient as possible.
I’ve also implemented aspects of other compatible dietary practices including paleo, intermittent fasting, The Bulletproof Diet, Wahls Protocol, 4 Hour Body and Chef, and the Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living. And finally combining diet with critical concepts for productivity like willpower, habits, and routines.
